Shipping Information
Orders placed that have all items in stock will be shipped within 1-2 business days. If a faster shipping method is selected, we will prioritize your order and ship it out same day if the order is placed before 10:00am EST. If for some reason we cannot accommodate faster shipping, we will let you know right away.
We use 95% recycled or donated packing materials to pack your orders. Whether it's bubble wrap, biodegradable packing peanuts, or boxes, we go to every effort to reuse and recycle.
For domestic shipments, we have a few options for delivery:
- Standard Shipping (2-5 business days depending on location). Most low-value shipments are sent by USPS Priority Mail. Higher value shipments may be sent by UPS or FedEx at our discretion. If you have a request for a particular shipping carrier, please send us a message (orders@avinet.com) within 3 hours of placing your order.
- UPS 2nd Day Air
- UPS Next Day Air
- USPS Priority Express - 1-2 days depending on location.
For shipments going outside the US, we offer:
UPS Canada/Mexico Standard (6-10 business days)
UPS Worldwide Expedited (2-8 business days average)
UPS Worldwide Saver (3-9 business days average)
USPS Priority Mail International (6-20 business days)
USPS Priority Mail Express International (3-7 business days)
FedEx International Priority (1-4 business days)
Fedex International Economy (2-5 business days)
Please note that all export shipments are privy to duties and taxes and the shipping recipient is responsible for all duties and taxes incurred on the shipment. If you have a customs broker, please make note of the name and contact phone number in your order comments. If you have a UPS or FedEx account that you wish us to bill shipping and handling charges to, please contact us in reference to your order.
Tips for Customers in Canada:
For small orders, we recommend using USPS Priority Mail International for most items. The cost is slightly more but will overall save money. Duties and/or taxes owed are considerably less than UPS. UPS is a much faster service in Canada, however, keep in mind that UPS charges brokerage fees on top of duties and taxes if you do not have a broker.
We are not responsible for completing any export paperwork for domestic shipments. If we ship the order within the US and the ultimate destination of the order is leaving the US, it is not Avinet's responsibility to complete any export paperwork.
Tips for Customers in Mexico:
For the best service to Mexico, we strongly recommend choosing FedEx for your order. There is very little hassle with customs and brokerage services, and packages is most cases have arrived very quickly. The cost to ship is higher, but the overall amount of time and money spent overall on duties and taxes is well worth it. Using UPS to ship your order is the second best choice, but we recommend having an RFC number and having your own customs broker. Brokerage services tendered through UPS can be very costly and the time spent in customs can be long. We do not recommend USPS Priority Mail International for shipments to Mexico.
